The developer acknowledged AMD GPU compatibility problems and cutscene stutter in the September 24 Q&A. September 25 notes reported fixes for some scene blackouts and intermittent bugs. These statements do not establish that every AMD model or crash has been fixed, and there is no verified universal driver workaround in the sources reviewed here.

Match the symptom first

SymptomRelevant official information
Stuttering during early story videosThe developer identified cutscene loading and video assets as an optimization focus.
A scene turns blackSeptember 25 notes mention fixes for some scene-blackout cases.
A freeze immediately after Sea Realm Shell TalismanSeptember 24 notes document that specific item-related freeze fix.
A different crashThe above notes may not explain it; record the actual trigger.

What to do next

Install the available game update, then try to reproduce the same action and note whether the result changed. If the issue persists, report your GPU model, the scene or action, the game’s displayed version when available and any error message. Include a screenshot or short recording through the official support channel if it helps show the symptom.

Keep the report specific. A problem during an NPC video is different from a save failing to load or a freeze after a named item. Separating them helps support compare your report with the fixes already documented.

Avoid treating guesses as confirmed fixes

This page does not recommend registry edits, disabling security software, deleting saves or an unverified driver downgrade. The official material reviewed here does not establish those as a solution. If a support representative provides a current workaround, verify that it applies to your model and issue before following it.

Check the official announcement feed for newer compatibility information. A future optimization promise should remain a promise until a release note and your own result confirm what changed.
